we are a vancouver-based company, with a focus on growth across canada.

QMC provides options to help building owners and occupants conserve utilities and save money through submetering a building’s utilities: electric, water, thermal and gas. We know that being able to access actionable data through utility monitoring will result in better building performance, utility conservation and help with achieving sustainability goals.

Over the past 2 decades we have looked ahead to address the changing needs of the marketplace and our customers. This forward-thinking approach has positioned us as the leader in the submetering industry. We believe in growing partnerships and delivering hands-on experience in the field. This, in tandem with technical knowledge and expertise in data and utility systems makes  our company, QMC, Canada’s leader in submetering solutions. Our team is committed to make utility management easy to implement and valuable to building owners, managers and tenants.

QMC supports a diverse management team with different perspectives and experiences, which allows us to deliver a better service experience. Embracing our individuality is the most important part of the culture we have fostered at QMC.

Our team begins with our front-line Meter Technicians, who are experts in installing and commissioning submetering and communications equipment in the field. With coverage in Western and Eastern Canada, as well as in California, we respond to service calls promptly and efficiently.

Our Sales team is well equipped to begin the quoting process and help our clients find the best solution to their issue through building an initial meter system design and meter plan.

QMC’s Account and Project Management teams are well-versed in understanding the needs of our customers and are trained to identify how we can deliver value to our clients through identifying and auditing any and all existing equipment on a property.
Our team works hard to deliver value to all our customers, whether they are in the residential, commercial, institutional, recreational, or industrial.

Different together

At QMC, we come from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds to build an inclusive work culture that celebrates our differences. We are strengthened by our positive ties to the communities and customers we serve.

Embracing diversity is focusing on what makes us different while inclusion looks at creating an environment where diversity can thrive. Our strength is in who our co-workers are.

A commitment to diversity is a core value for QMC as a company. An inclusive culture is one where everyone feels like they belong and can be themselves. We know that when people feel like they belong, they are more likely to do their best work. That’s why we focus on creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued.

One of the ways we do this is by ensuring that our workforce is representative of the communities we serve. We are committed to hiring a diverse workforce that reflects the demographics of our customers and the communities in which we operate. This not only helps us better understand and serve our customers, but it also makes us a more dynamic and innovative company.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

We encourage our staff to use mass transit for their work commute by offering a transit subsidy to offset some costs. This reduces our collective carbon footprint by removing vehicles during peak rush hours, while also helping to reduce costs related to owning a vehicle.

DAy of Caring

Once per year all QMC staff are encouraged to volunteer for the day at either of charity of their choosing or one of QMC’s chosen sponsors. Every employee that participates is fully compensated for their time spent volunteering. This is one of the many ways that we try to give back to the community.
