QMC joins the ranks of BC’s fastest companies on BIV’s Top 100 List
QMC is back in the news.
BIV’s annual list of BC’s Fastest Growing Companies includes QMC. With over 135% revenue growth between 2012 and 2016, it puts QMC at number 52 on the list of 100.
QMC’s CEO James Easton attributes the growth to a number of factors:
“There are three main factors for our growth over the past five years. The increase in energy and utility costs has driven the demand for building automation tools like utility submetering and data reporting that enhance sustainable business operations. We made a strategic acquisition of a cloud-based SAAS platform, MeterConnex, which rounded out our offering to a complete end to end integrated metering solution. Finally, the QMC team across the country has worked incredibly hard to lead the commercial, multi-residential and institutional submetering industry with best –in –class service, products and software.”
From BIV’s Fastest Growing Companies reporting:
“Eighty per cent of the companies on Business in Vancouver’s Fastest-Growing Companies list are from two sectors: the technology and service industries. Tech companies have the largest presence on the list, with 46 companies focused on everything from life sciences to software design. Service-based companies occupy 34 spots on the list, but are relatively underrepresented in the top 10, whereas tech companies like Precision NanoSystems Inc. and CRH Medical Corp. (TSX:CRH) feature prominently.
The Top 100 Fastest Growing List was published by Business in Vancouver on August 22, 2017. Companies must be headquartered in B.C. and have had at least $50,000 in sales/revenue in 2012 and at least $1 million in 2016 to qualify.
